R POWER central

The HITZINGER 400Hz centralised rotary converter designs have for many years made the difference in reliability and robustness, providing optimum efficiency for aircraft manufactures, contractors and airport operators; many of which have already put their trust in the proven quality of R POWER for decades.

These systems are supplied as part of a 400Hz distribution ring, together with line-drop compensation to mitigate voltage drop where applicable, feeding multiple tap-off points for aircraft connection. New rotary converters can also be synchronised with existing systems in order to meet increased load demand, ensuring optimum utilisation of the load capacity.

At the heart of the 400Hz rotary converter is the Hitzinger alternator, that provides an extremely robust, overload-resistant, maintenance-free and highly durable construction.

Technical highlights

The R POWER is characterised by robustness, longevity, optimised efficiency with compact dimensions and the lowest noise emissions. Low maintenance and extremely easy servicing and operation complete the profile of a unit that has been successfully established on the market for decades. We guarantee you optimum and reliable power for special applications.

Arduous operating conditions
Thanks to a generous conceptual specification and an ingenious design, the R POWER delivers the specified power reliably, without limitation, anytime.

Service life >25 years – unrivalled reliability
With proven and robust engineering, the R POWER offers troublefree intensive and unlimited use for more than 25 years.

Reliability: MTBF >50,000 hours

Increased efficiency
Thanks to the high efficiency of the engine and alternator, aircraft can be supplied as economically as possible. In particular, higher power capacities of 400 Hz converters used in centralised applications offer greater efficiency than is the case with lower power capacities.

Maximum serviceability
The modular arrangement of the switchgear simplifies all service work. A large-size soundproofing and weather-protected enclosure provides optimum access for servicing and maintenance.

Safe operation
Comprehensive protection and monitoring by microprocessor controller.

Simplified user operation
The touchpanel of the control station offers intuitive user navigation. Easy to read even in strong sunlight, it is also dust- and water-tight and suitable for use in the most adverse conditions. The resistive touchscreen is straightforward to use even when gloves are worn. A fault recorder logs all events.

General overview of complete system
The complete system is displayed clearly and comprehensively by the touchpanel and mimic diagram.
